Historical Photos
Here is a partial collection of the photographic history of the Hernando County Composite Squadron. The photos are part of our squadron collection except where noted.
Early Days
The early days of the squadron were truly remarkable. The squadron hosted an air show and fly-ins. Additionally, the squadron worked closely with other agencies including Civil Defense, the Hernando County Sheriff's Office and local fire departments to train for all kinds of emergencies including hurricane response and radiological events (nuclear).
Squadron Activities
Over the years, the Hernando County Composite Squadron hosted and participated in a wide range of activities including bivouacs, air shows, RC airplanes, HAM (amateur) radio, model rocketry, military orientation flights and so much more. In recent years, the squadron participated in firearms training with the Hernando Sportsman's Club.
Here's a look at some of the cadet and senior activities the squadron has been involved in:
Promotions & Awards
Promotions are merit-based, so when a cadet attains an achievement, they know they earned it. Here are cadets and senior members receiving promotions and other awards over the years.
