BE ADVISED: Current US National Weather Service projections suggest Hurricane Ian is likely to strike Florida as a major hurricane (CAT 3 or greater.)

According to the National Hurricane Center, a CAT 3 hurricane will cause devastating damage including damage to well-built homes, downed trees, impassable roads and the loss of utilities up to several weeks after the storm clears.

Current US National Weather Service projections suggest that tropical storm strength winds are likely to reach the Pasco/Hernando/Citrus County areas Wednesday. Hurricane-force winds are also a possibility.
